- Aim slightly under the limit (45 KB for a 50 KB cap) — some portals count bytes differently.
- If a tiny target looks too soft, resize the image smaller first — fewer pixels compress better than lower quality.

- JPEG quality 70–80% is usually visually identical to the original at a fraction of the size.
